This Supercar Lamborghini style is the latest creation of the American Shelby Supercar producer cars. Name for a lizard Kiwi With the fastest of any changes in the DNA of animals on earth, "Tuatara" is powered by a rear mounting medium bi-turbo 7.0-liter V8 developing 1007kW. SPY PHOTOS: 2013 FORD MUSTANG SHELBY GT500

2013 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 2013 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500
Looking cars have rumors flying that the next-generation Mustang GT500 could be twin-turbocharged. (Well, the tape isn’t the sole reason behind the speculation; the intercoolers visible in their grilles are fanning the flames, too.) But we’re not buying it. Superchargers also need intercoolers and, as we previously reported, the next evolution of the Shelby GT500—due as a 2013 model—again will be supercharged. This time, it’ll have upwards of 600 hp.

2013 FORD MUSTANG SHELBY Picture
Ford insiders we talked to pretty quickly deep-sixed the GT500 turbo rumors. While the Mustang seen here wears the body of the top Stang, it’s possible that it could be a test bed for lesser EcoBoost engines. Rumors of EcoBoost Mustangs have persisted since the engines were first announced. However, the Mustang engine roster was just recently overhauled, and there’s not really any room for the turbocharged, direct-injected family in the lineup. The turbo V-6’s output encroaches too much on 5.0 territory, and the current car’s 305-hp naturally aspirated base V-6 is so good—finally—that we can’t see Ford taking a chance and replacing it already.

Stepping into the 600-hp club with the GT500 won’t be an easy move. Our guess is that the cars pictured here are working to help ensure that the harder-hitting Shelby can keep its cool. Development in the auto industry is ongoing; if you ever talk to a hot rodder, he’ll tell you his car is never done—and he’s only got one. Just imagine that cycle for a company that builds more than a million cars a year. source

The SSC Ultimate Aero from Shelby Supercars is the car which stole the crown of the Bugatti Veyron as the fastest production car in the world. But now Bugatti has snatched that back with the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport. So it’s not the biggest surprise in the world that SSC are now trumpeting and teasing the 2011 version of the Ultimate Aero.

Shelby Supercars aren’t actually saying that their 2011 Ultimate Aero (or whatever it gets called) will take back the crown as the fastest production car in the world, but the inference is certainly there. The home page of their web site is given over to the tease with the photo above and a few strap lines.

We’re told that ‘The Next Generation is Coming’; ‘Because Life Begins at 250′ and ‘Proudly Built in the United States of America’ all of which puts the SSC in perceptive. It’s not the technological tour de force the Veyron is, it’s just the ultimate expression of American muscle, and actually all the better for that. Although it could do with being a bit better looking.

We know that Shelby has shown the new car to private clients already and the feedback is very positive. We’re trying to get hold of one of the attendees to see if we can get pictures and more information, but for now the teaser at the top is all there is.
