2013 Volkswagen WRC POLO RVolkswagen will go into the World Rally Championship in 2013 using the Volkswagen Polo R WRC, but fans from the hot little hatch will have to watch on in the sidelines.Volkswagen Australia’s Nadine Nethery confirmed the Polo R will be a one-off for that WRC series and wouldn't inspire a production model.

Ms Nethery confirmed it wasn't just Australia really missing out, but was adamant a Polo R in line with the fifth-generation hatch wouldn't be offered in a global market.The 4-wheel drive Polo R WRC is going to be powered with a 1.6-litre turbocharged engine with around 220kW of energy.
