2010 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG

Mercedes-Benz China has so far received orders for 300 SLS AMG cars across the country, the company’s vice president Cai Gongming said at the Chengdu Auto Show starting today.

With distinctive gull-wing doors, the SLS AMG reminds us of the 300 SL born in 1954. A 6.3 litre V8 front-mid engine, delivering up to 420 kW or 571 hp and 650 Nm, powers the new car, along with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, which makes the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG one of the most powerful sports cars in its class.

The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG can go up to a maximum speed of 317 km per hour and accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds. Moreover, it has a combined average fuel consumption of 13.2 l/100 km and combined CO2 emissions of 308 g/km. The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, which belongs to EU 5 emission class, will be available in five different colors in the Chinese market.
